I have flagged this article for cleanup because I think that it could do with some sub-headings etc. I shall try to find time to do this, but it would be great if someone else could too! Can I make a small comment on the main picture? It seems like an implicit commentary on the whole kouros concept to have in the bottom left a young female (?) in shorts, ie a modern response to the sexist nature of the imagery. andrew

I included a live person in the photo to give an idea of the statue's scale. No sexual-politiacl comment was intended. Adam 10:57, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
