Dhamawa is a small village located within the area known as Kasguma. It is seen as being one of the major villages within the area of Kasguma. It contains a population of approximately 150 people.

It contains two major castes, the Rajput Minhas and the Choudary. The Rajah cast has been present in this area for approximately 150 years.

The major family of the Rajput cast, is that of Rajah Nawazish Ali Khan who was the son of Rajah Abbas Ali Khan. Rajah Nawazish Ali Khan was born in the early 1900's and had studied enabling him to speak English and read letters for those who were less fortunate and could not read and write. He was a wealthy land owner who had 6 children who were all educated at Mirpur College.
