Kot Kapura is a city and a municipal council in Faridkot district in the Indian state of Punjab. It is very well known for its big Mandi.

Dhilwan Kallan is small town located just 3 Kms from Kot Kapura. Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru, came Dhilwan Kallan and stayed at Sodhi's house. Guru Gobind Singh's clothes are still can be seen at village Dhilwan Kallan.

As of 2001 India censusGRIndia, Kot Kapura had a population of 80,741. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Kot Kapura has an average literacy rate of 61%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 65%, and female literacy is 57%. In Kot Kapura, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
