[edit] Name
Another article with the name issue. Strictly speaking, the name in Ukrainian is "Костянтинівка". On one hand in the local specifics the Ukrainian name is almost never used in this area. On the other hand, a place is obscure enough so that it really is not called in English by either name to establish usage. By the guidlelines we established, it should be moved to Kostyantynivka or Kostiantynivka (others are better than me which of the two is "correct" but the first one would require a WP:RM since now it is a reverse redirect created by someone).
However, it could be that it is so unknown by its Ukrainian name, even locally, that we could keep it as it is for now, or at least wait a little but for more opinions. Anyway, I do not feel strongly about either solution. FYI, the city portal with info and history is at http://www.konstantinovka.com.ua/ (in Russian). The link is propably useless for everyone but us. But who else will read this article anyway :). Cheers, --Irpen 02:05, 13 October 2005 (UTC)
- I suggest we move it to the Ukrainian name for consistency with the naming convention (Kostiantynivka would be the official transliteration), and explicitly state that the Russian name is more likely to be used. I'll make the change; feel free to adjust. —Michael Z. 2006-02-28 00:55 Z

- As I said, either way is fine with me. --Irpen 08:14, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
- Or right, I created this page because it was listed at Wikipedia:Missing articles, and didn't realise there was a problem with the name. By all means, put it where conventions dictate it should be. Flowerparty■ 16:26, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
- Any particular reason why this hasn't been moved yet? It's been a while...—Ëzhiki (Igel Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 15:51, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
