[edit] Title bar
I added a title bar, a la Template:Koreanname and the old tables. Hope that meets with general approval, as I'm planning to replace a LOT of old tables with this one in the near future. (see the aforementioned Naming Conventions Talk page. -- Visviva 17:16, 8 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- I'm thinking that if the subject is Korean then we don't need to tell people that Hangul, Hanja, etc. are supposed to be in the Korean language. It can be implied. --Jiang 20:49, 8 Dec 2004 (UTC)

- Well, I do think that the "Korean" link which Sewing put into this template adds some value. Not everyone who visits a Korea-related article will have much background knowledge, so a pointer to the umbrella article on the Korean language might be helpful. And it won't do any harm to those that don't need it. But then again, it does make the table less elegant. If you want to do away with the "Korean name:" bar, I have no strong objections. -- Visviva 03:41, 9 Dec 2004 (UTC)

- OK, after adding this to an ungodly number of articles, I've come around to Jiang's way of thinking. The "Korean name" section seems to give this template a rather clunky look. I've taken it out for now. If others disagree, let's talk about it. -- Visviva 10:15, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] All your hanja are belong to me!
It looks like User:Appleby has edited out the hanja row twice, and it took me a while [1] until I found out why: See Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (Korean)#hanja in placenames and discuss the issue there; perhaps also see this if you can read Korean. – Wikipeditor 04:43, 21 November 2005 (UTC)
