Kolporter Korona Kielce (Kolporter - name of the sponsor, Korona - Crown - symbol of club and city Kielce, Kielce - name of city where club is based.) It is a polish football (soccer) club, an only representative of Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, playing in the highest class - premier league - Orange Ekstraklasa.

By first three decades of existence, the club could not be praised with greatest sports progress. However, from moment when Krzysztof Klicki, who finds himself on the richest Poles list, become in 2002 owner of Korona, club has become one of the best administered and the most reliable in Poland. During last four seasons, club has been promoted from third league (Korona reserve play there presently) to premier league Orange Ekstraklasa.

Since year 2006 when club has moved to the most modern stadium in Poland the statistics locate Korona at the top of number of fans visiting polish stadiums. Crown in club's coat of arms refers to crown in Kielce coat of arms.

Korona is recognized by football players in Poland as an ideal place for deployment their talent. In the first season of playing in Orange Ekstraklasa Korona striker Grzegorz Piechna became the best attacker of polish league. He also, became a Polish international, and scored a goal in his debut. Grzegorz Piechna has been discovered by scouts of Korona in 3rd league team Heko Czermno and moved from this club to Korona Kielce.

During first two years of playing in the highest class four more players of Korona Kielce has found themselves in polish representation. One of them is Paweł Golański, offensively playing right defender, who has made his debut in team after its take-over by Leo Beenhakker. He played inter alia in match of Euro quailfiers between Poland and Portugal (2:1), and was one of the best players in the field. He has moved to Korona Kielce from 2nd league team Łódzki Klub Sportowy .

Korona players differring from other in Poland by their style caused playing offensive football, and because of that Korona is regard by experts as the most beautiful playing team in the premier league Orange Ekstraklasa. Because of that reason, despite short practice in highest class, matches of Korona Kielce are one of most often broadcasted in television, obviously increasing clubs' finances.

In order to provide further progress, Korona puts pressure on extended program of work with children and scauting young players. On this field also, club can be praised numerous sports progress and youth representatives of countries. From season 2006/2007, beside youth men's groups, recruitment has been started for youth feminine section.

On wave of next progress and succeses of Korona and in face of declaration of owner of the club, Mr. Krzysztof Klicki, that club will play in the premier league Orange Ekstraklasa and start battle for european cups, municipal authorities of Kielce have made a decision about building of new stadium on exclusive requirements of Korona Kielce. Despite great determination, local government have show in building of stadium that it has turned out far too small in confrontation with Kielce efficiency of team. And so, first round in history of club in highest class, had to be played on old stadium. First match on the new stadium was played on 1st April 2006. Old one is used by reserve presently.

Eighteen months from day of beginning of building, stadium has been given to the club. Despite fast rate of structure, first match in the highest class has been played on the stadium at 1 april 2006, but in the first round of Orange Ekstraklasa Korona had to play on old stadium because of determination and very well performance of players and quick promotions. Old stadium of Korona is used by team of reserve presently.

New Korona stadium, despite that it stands in place, in which a stadium stood earlier, it is an object entirely new, built from bases according to directions of UEFA and in construction of sports object newest trends. This way, it differs it from among majority football objects in Poland, wich in general are constructions built in period of communism (or else earlier), but presently only modernized to claim minimal UEFA requirements.

Kielce stadium can accommodate 15 550 fans, however, by the reason of limitations from polish law, which imposes duty of isolation of zone of safety on authorities of clubs among sectors of local fans with sector of visitors, Kielce stadium in league matches can accommodate 13 823 of Korona fans and 777 visiting fans. However, situation has happened in history of stadium already, when it was full on a league match in maximum expected capacity 15 550. That happened in season 2006/2007, when fans of visiting club Legia Warszawa got prohibition of arrival on match in Kielce

Whole field wich has 105 x 68m. by the reason of climatic conditions is heated up. Kielce stadium has a complete system of monitoring, which has a chance to become a model for other systems of applicable monitoring on polish sports objects. Stadium of Korona is also, one of the stadiums taken into account by Polish Football Association for polish representation.

Fans of Korona are one of most numerously on settling on tribunes of premier league Orange Ekstraklasa matches. They were also prized many times for beautiful match frames wich can be called art. They require much work, but recognition in other crews of fans eyes is worth it. Fanatic and not ceasing support bears Korona for victories.

In the spring round of season 2006/2007 only, fans of Korona Kielce, were awarded 5 times from 8 matches for wonderfull frame. Most faithful fans settle on tribune "Młyn" (the Mill) which contains 500 - 1 800 people.

Korona Kielce fans have a friendship with fans of: Cracovia Kraków, Polonia Warszawa, Stal Mielec, Sandecja Nowy Sącz

The club was funded in 1973 by connecting of 2 clubs from Kielce - Iskra and SHL. The first promotion to the polish 2nd league was in 1975. Unfortunately the team did not played very well and was relegated. Next promotion was in 1982. Korona played in 2nd league to 1990 and in that year was relegated once again. Year 1996 brought several changes. The sponsor was Nida Gips from Gacki and the name changed to Miejski Klub Sportowy Sekcja Futbolowa Korona. In season 1998/1999 Korona played in 2nd league but in next season was relegated. In 2000 Korona had connected with other club from Kielce - Błękitni and renamed to Kielecki Klub Piłkarski Korona.

In 2002 the bright era in Korona had come. Kolporter company was the sponsor with chairman Krzysztof Klicki and the name changed to Kielecki Klub Piłkarski Kolporter Korona. In 2003 the team renamed to Sportowa Spólka Akcyjna Kolporter Korona The goal was simple - to be the best polish football team. The dream became reality in 2005 when Korona won the 2nd league and in the first time in club's history was promoted to the polish 1st league.

1st match in Idea Ekstraklasa was against Cracovia and the final score was 0-0. In the Season 2005/2006 Korona was finally 5th in the league table. Before season 2006/2007 on the team meeting with supporters chairmans announced that club returnes to the historical coat of arms wich is shown on the top of this site. 2nd 1st league season for Korona started with away win with Arka Gdynia 3-0. Date 20.09.2006 was special. Korona by away won with Odra Wodzisław Śląski climbed to the top of the league table first time in history.

1st place in 3rd league in season 2003/2004;

1st place in the 2nd league in season 2004/2005 and promotion to Orange Ekstraklasa (1st Polish football league) for season 2005/2006.

5th place in the first season in Orange Ekstraklasa season 2005/2006.

In the first season in Orange Ekstraklasa Grzegorz Piechna was the best polish attacker scoring 21 goals for Korona.
