Korati

Korati was the main spirit goddess of Malayalee Hindus. She was worshipped in symbol format in North Malabar Tharavadus. The oracle for this spirit was called Koracca.

Probably, Koravvai in the old Tamil literature could be the same goddess.

Korati is also a village near Hoskote town which is around 40 km from Bangalore City. Srinivasa Rao Korati is one of the famous Kannada Author originating from that place. Korati is also the birth place Shri Putta Swamy, who retired as a high court judge at Karnataka High Court
