Kopri

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Korpi, primarily a residential Colony, is situated on the eastern side of Thane Railway station, Maharashtra, India. After the Partition of India, around 10,000 Sindhi refugees were provided housing in 25 buildings, called blocks. Over time, other residential societies and complexes were constructed in and around the blocks. Even today, majority of the people in Kopri are Sindhis and Sindhi is the dominant language.
