Kontula metro station

The Kontula metro station (Finnish Kontulan metroasema / Swedish Metrostationen Gårdsbacka) is a ground-level station on the northern branch (Itäkeskus - Mellunmäki) of the Helsinki Metro. It serves the district of Kontula in East Helsinki.
The station was opened on 21 October 1986, designed by the architect bureau Toivo Karhunen Oy. It is located at a distance of approximately 1.371 kilometres from the Myllypuro metro station, and 1.644 kilometres from the Mellunmäki metro station.
