Konrad Schily

Dr. med. Konrad Schily (* November 7, 1937 in Bochum) is a member of the German parliament, the Bundestag. He is a neurologist and the founder of Germanys first University in a private leadership in Witten in 1982.
Schily was a member of the german labour party, SPD, but in 2003 he became a member of the "Innovationskreis NRW liberal", a think tank of the liberal party FDP. In 2005 he became am member of the liberal party. He was elected for the Bundestag the same year.
Konrad Schily is the youngest of five children. He is married and has four children. His brother is Otto Schily, the former german secretary of state.
