KOMY

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

KOMY is a 1,000 watt radio station broadcasting on 1340. Located in Santa Cruz, CA, the station airs a progressive talk format, and it is considered the "liberal version" of KSCO. It's owned by the Zwerling family and indeed originates from the same building. However, instead of playing the primarily conservative programming found on KSCO, KOMY is an Air America affialate. As of June 28, 2006, KOMY has dropped The Majority Report with Janeane Garofalo. According to station owner Michael Zwerling, this decision was due to the fact that the show had failed to gain a single advertiser during the year that it was on the station.

[edit] Sign-Off
