The Koloff wrestling family was started when Canadian wrestler Oreal Perras changed his ring name to Ivan Koloff and claimed to be from the Soviet Union. He became a huge star and was later given two "nephews", Nelson Simpson, or Nikita Koloff, in the 1980's, and Carl Brantley, or Vladimir Koloff in the 1990's. None of the Koloffs are related and none of them are really Russian.
