Koichi Nakano

Koichi Nakano (中野浩一 b. November 14, 1955) of Japan is a former professional racing cyclist and is amongst the best track sprinter of modern times. He won ten consecutive Professional Sprint World Cycling Championship from 1977 to 1986, (at that time, many sprint riders were from from the Eastern bloc countries and had to compete in separate "amateur" events), and is the most successful competitor of all-time on the Japan Professional Keirin circuit.
