Kohana

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kohana is a young killer whale (orca) who was born in SeaWorld of San Diego on May 3, 2002. She was conceived through artificial insemination, the second killer whale to be so. Her parents are Takara and Tillikum. At the time of Kohana's birth, her parents had never met; her mother was living in San Diego and her father was in SeaWorld Orlando. On April 25, 2004, Kohana and her mother were moved to SeaWorld of Orlando. On February 13th 2006, Kohana was moved to Loro Parque in Spain with three other whales, Tekoa, Keto and Skyla. Kohana, now four years old, is a very vibrant and playful whale. She is very interactive, and she loves to float at the acrylic glass and interact with visitors. She has just started learning water work (since she was too small before). Kohana is a very intelligent and eager whale, and she learns quickly.
