Koch (language)

Koch Language is a language spoken by the Koch tribe. They speak a language that is similar to the Bodo-Garo language.

They are originally mongoloid and resemble most of the tribes of the North East India. They have an average physical structure with protruding cheeks.
[edit] The Tribe
The tribe consists of 7 sub-tribes, viz: Harigaya, Wanang, Tintikiya, Chapra, Satpariya, Banai and Dasgaya. This sub-tribes are again further sub-divided into clans or Nikinis. This clans may be found in one or more sub-tribe of the Koches. The children follow by the mother's clan and marriages are not permitted within the same clan.
