Koala Kong (コアラ コング Koara Kongu?) is a fictional character seen in the Crash Bandicoot video game series, originally for PlayStation. He was a koala bear mutated by Dr. Neo Cortex, and because of that he is incredibly strong.
He first appeared in the original Crash Bandicoot game, as the third boss. He didn't reapapear until Crash Bash, the first Crash game not to be developed by Naughty Dog. In Crash Bash, he was a playable character, playing on Dr. Neo Cortex's team. Stats wise, he was the equivalent to Tiny Tiger on the opposing team. His last appearance was a cameo in Crash Twinsanity, at gathering for Crash's 'birthday party' in which nearly every previous character appeared.
Many fans would prefer Koala Kong to make more prominent appearances in the games, especially due to being the original muscle of the series.

It was revealed in the epilogue of the first game that Koala Kong moved to Hollywood and landed a motion picture deal with Universal Proportions, working with a speech therapist to improve his diction. As with almost all the epilogues (in either the first game or Crash Team Racing), this is considered non-canon to the series, although it does explain all of his absences except for those after Crash Bash. Koala Kong was going to be a boss in Twinsanity.
