Knowledge Adventure

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Knowledge Adventure, Inc. is a maker of educational software including the JumpStart series of grade-based and subject-based titles. Formed in the late 1980s, Knowledge Adventure was more recently owned by Vivendi Universal, which was unable to successfully market the maker's well known brands, such as Math Blaster and JumpStart, due to its focus on more traditional gaming. In late 2004, Vivendi sold Knowledge Adventure to a group of investors interested in taking a more active management strategy, and in developing new educational software. The company has since released new products under both brands.
