KNOX-FM "The Rooster" is a radio station located in Grand Forks, North Dakota owned by Leighton Broadcasting. The station airs a classic country format (country music hits from the past three decades), and airs NASCAR races.
The Rooster competes with Clear Channel's KSNR 100.3 FM "Cat Country", which aired a long time oldies format until 2005. The station also competes with co-owned KYCK 97.1 to a less of an extent, though both KYCK and KSNR play modern country music.
Leighton Broadcasting also owns KCNN 1590 (News/Talk), KNOX-AM 1310 (News/Talk), KYCK 97.1 (Country), and KZLT 104.3 (Hot AC) in Grand Forks.
