Chris wants to know why Loralai dosen't want him to be in the every day Stars Hollow life and she explains she wants everyone to get used to Chris. So they take a walk though Stars Hallow, where Miss Patty gives them a "welcome basket" filled with cleaning suppplies.

Rory, Marty and Olivia throw a 2002 themed birthday party for Lucy. Rory confronts Marty about his coldness towards her, and he says sorry. But later, Marty says Rory is more beautiful then ever and she says he should go be with Lucy. Marty then joins Lucy on the dance floor.

The next day, Stars Hallow has a Knit-a-Thon to raise money to fix the bridge. Loralai and Chris go to the town square at 10:00 AM to meet with the rest of the town. Later around noon, Chris brings the Knit-a-Thon to a crashing stop when he donates the remaining money of $7,800. Everybody leaves Knit-a-Thon early. Later Loralai told him that they were supposed to knit and sell to make the money, not just donate it.

Luke goes over to Anna's house, telling her that April is his daughter as well, and she can't keep her from him. He also says he will fight her in court is he has to.
