Knight Rider 2010

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Knight Rider 2010 is a 1994 made-for-TV movie very loosely based on the television series Knight Rider. A car, very different from KITT, has the soul of a dead woman. The car is an old Ford Mustang instead of a Pontiac Trans Am. There is nothing in common with Knight Rider, except the title. Although early drafts of the script were far closer to the franchise, even including K.I.T.T. Franchise rights may have been the reason the format was changed.

[edit] Plot

When Jake McQueen is arrested for smuggling, he is released by Hannah, who works for Chrysalis Corp. Jared, the head of Chrysalis Corp., wants Jake to smuggle for him. Hannah and Jared hook Jake up to a machine that allows him to interface with the computer. Hannah tells Jake that she accidentally downloaded her essence into the computer. When Jared has Jake's father killed, Jake plots his revenge. He gets a Ford Mustang and adds missiles and shielding, turning it into a futuristic vehicle. When Jared kills Hannah, Jake takes the crystal that powers the computer and has it installed in the car, adding an interface that allows Hannah to see Jake. Together, Jake and Hannah (who controls the car) defeat Jared.
