Knattspyrnudeild UMFG, the football subdivision of Icelandic athletic club Ungmennafélag Grindavíkur, located in the town of Grindavík in the south west part of Iceland. The club has established itself as a premiership side in the last few years, but is yet to win any titles. Sigurður Jónsson was appointed manager before the 2006 season, after a successful period at Víkingur. Lee Sharpe of Man United fame played for them for a brief time. In the season of 2006, Grindavík got relegated for the first time in their history. They made an draw against Fimleikafélag Hafnarfjarðar, 1:1, in the last round, but it was clear before the game that they needed to win that game.
