K.M.Seethi
K.M. SEETHI is a social scientist in the South Indian State of Kerala. Currently he is a Senior Reader in the School of International Relations and Politics, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala. Specialising in the issues of security, foreign policy, human rights, environment and political theory, he has taught for more than two decades in the School. He has contributed several articles in national and international journals such as Millennium, Economic and Political Weekly, Indian Journal of Political Science, Indian Journal of Secularism, Mainstream, Radical Humanist. Besides, he has written several articles in The New Indian Express, The Hindu, web portals like www.keralamonitor.com etc. He has also contributed more than 150 articles in Malayalam journals and periodicals.
Seethi has edited (with Rajen Harshe) Engaging with the World: Critical Reflections on India’s Foreign Policy published by Orient Longman, New Delhi in 2005.
Seethi had his MA (Political Science) from the University of Kerala winning the Ramaswami Mudaliyar Gold medal (1983) for having secured the first rank. Subsequently, he took his PhD from the University of Kerala on the theme Security Considerations in South Asia: A Case Study with Special Reference to India-Pakistan Relations. He has presented more than 30 papers in various national and international seminars.
Currently, he is Editor of the Indian Journal of Politics and International Relations.
