KLUP

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

KLUP AM 930 is a talk radio station that specializes in various conservative talk shows. From middle-of-the-road to the far right, each program offers a unique perspective on everyday, as well as non-mainstream, issues surrounding America and the world. As a talk radio station, the hosts usually spend one-third to one-half of the show relating news and offering their own perspective, and beliefs. Then "it's your turn", and listeners get to call in and offer their views or commentary on the items discussed.

While hosted by conservatives, callers are from all walks of life and frequently disagree with the hosts. An important thing to note is that while most normal conversations require some amount of patience, talk radio is time-constricted and hard breaks (commercial breaks that HAVE to be taken, no matter what) are the most common cause of interruptions, rushed conversations, and hang-ups. Most callers are given at least 15 seconds to make any point they wish, once they get past the call-screeners and are on the air, and most of them successfully make it. The main distinction between KLUP and news channels on television is that you will get to hear what the hosts actually believe, versus what is politically correct.
