This template employs some extremely complicated and/or esoteric features of template syntax.
Please do not attempt to alter it unless you are certain that you understand the setup and are prepared to repair/revert any consequent collateral damage if the results are unexpected. Any experiments should be conducted in the template sandbox or your user space.

Usage

  • The template always goes onto Talk pages, not article pages
  • If the attached article is a Featured Article, use {{KLF|class=FA}}
  • If the attached article is a Good Article, use {{KLF|class=GA}}
  • For the other classes, use class= parameters of A, B, Start or Stub.
  • If the attached article is not in the main space (it's a category, Project page, etc) use {{KLF|class=x}} (class=Dab for disambiguation pages, class=Cat for categories)
  • For other main space articles, simply use {{KLF}}. This default places the article in Category:Unassessed KLF articles.
  • importance= denotes the article's importance. The possible values are:

Other parameters:

  • living=yes, no or NA (If yes or no) Article is a biography
  • musician=yes If yes, the article is added to the assessment categories belonging to WikiProject Musicians.
  • arts=yes If yes, the article is added to the categories belonging to the Arts and entertainment workgroup. Don't set musician and arts to yes; musician is a higher level.
  • electronic=yes Article is about electronic music
  • song=yes Article is about a song
  • album=yes Article is about an album
  • bio-importance=Importance to WikiProject Musicians or the Arts and entertainment workgroup. Has no affect if neither musician= or arts= are yes.
  • album-importance=Importance to WikiProject Albums
  • song-importance=Importance to WikiProject Songs (not yet implemented by that project)

The template must be transcluded ({{KLF}}) and not substituted (subst).
