Klemens Janicki, Ianicius - 1516-1543, one of the most outstanding Latin poets of XVI century. He was educated in Poznan in Lubrański Academy, graduated University of Padua, supported by Polish bishops and nobles. He was as significant representative of humanism as Mikołaj Rej and Jan Kochanowski the great poets of Polish Renaissance. Awarded as the poeta laureatus.
