[edit] Kitabparast

  • Hindi: किताबपरस्त - क्योंकि मुझे किताबें बहुत पसन्द हैं।
  • Urdu/Persian: کتابپرست کیونکہ مجھکو کتابیں بہت پسند ہے

[edit] Current Goals

  • To ensure proper, simple, yet accurate transliteration for all terms in Persian, Urdū, Arabic, Hindī, and Sanskrit, so that readers may know how a word is supposed to be pronounced (whether they can pronounce it or not). To me, this is most important concerning long and short vowels, which cannot be indicated (and yet which are important) using non-diacritical transliteration schemes.
  • To ensure that every term taken from Persian, Urdū, Arabic, Hindī, and Sanskrit, has beside it the word as written in the original script (in addition to being properly transliterated) so as to properly honor the word, its origin, and the language from which it came.
