[edit] Character history

Kit McGraw is a British detective brought to Miami to investigate The Carver case during Season 3. Once married, McGraw's husband was murdered. Early in Season 3, she entered into a 3-way relationship with Christian Troy and Kimber Henry, before the latter two decided "three's a crowd."

A few episodes later, it is revealed that McGraw's three-way relationship was both a ruse and tactic to get close and investigate Troy as a suspect in the Carver case. She eventually arrested him for the crimes, but while he was being held in prison, she herself became a Carver victim. As a result, Christian was released. She would return in the final two episodes of Season 3, and in the season finale, shot the Carver, revealed to be Quentin Costa, from behind, apparently killing him.

Before leaving, she revealed some interesting facts about Costa. The parents of both he and his sister Violet were siblings, and as a result of the incest, Violet, was afflicted with a half-disfigured face. Quentin worked hard to become a plastic surgeon to fix her, but she died at age 29 before the corrections were completed.

After discovering that it was not Gina who called the police to stop the Carver, McNamara and Troy wonder how Kit knew to show up when she did. Looking for answers, they go to the convent where Quentin and his sister grew up, where they learn that the sister did not die at age 29, and wasn't called Violet, but Katherine (Kit for short); Kit McGraw and Quentin Costa are brother and sister.

Kit helped her brother commit the Carver attacks. Quentin wore a bulletproof vest so his sister's bullet wouldn't kill him. The two fled to Málaga, Spain, presumably to continue their crime spree and an incestuous relationship.
