Kit Cloudkicker

Kit Cloudkicker is a character on the Disney show Talespin. He serves as the navigator for Baloo on his seaplane the Seaduck. His first appearance was in the pilot “Plunder and Lightning”. He was voiced by R.J. Williams for most episodes, but Alan Roberts stepped in for a few. His trademarks are a green sweatshirt, a blue and red baseball cap worn backwards and his ability to cloudsurf (see below)

Kit is a unique character in the Disney Mythos given his dark past. He is a 12 year old orphan who came to live with the Air Pirates under Don Karnage one year prior to the start of the series. He leaves because he “got sick” of them. Headstrong with a lot of potential, Kit wants nothing more than to become a pilot himself and buy his own airplane.

On occasion, he has been known to put his dreams ahead of his friends. Having lived on his own for most of his life, Kit is distrustful of adults. He only warms up to Baloo after he is given the chance to fly the Seaduck, and even then he is ready to leave for greener pasture. Although he eventually stays at Higher for Hire, at least once in the episode “Stormy Weather” did he tell off Baloo saying “you’re not my real dad”. Although Kit did come to regret his decision later that episode.

Kit is one of the few who can cloud surf. he uses a crescent shaped device called an airfoil and a regular chord to hang out the back of airplanes and 'surf' much like one would water ski off the back of a boat on the ocean. It is unknown where Kit learned this skill, but he is clearly very adept at it.
