The name Kirwan may refer to:
- One of the thirteen Tribes of Galway.
- Richard Kirwan of Galway, a prominent philosopher and chemist
- A. D. Kirwan (1904-1971), former professor, administrator, coach and president of the University of Kentucky in the United States
- Richard Bui Kirwan of Cregg Castle, a soldier with Dillon's Regiment at Fontenoy.
- In the 18th century, a number of Kirwan medical men were located in France. James Kirwan was a physician to Louis XV.
- Mark Kirwan from Galway married the daughter of an English merchant who owned vineyards and a chateau the Bordeaux region. From Chateau Kirwan in the Medoc comes a wine which still bears the family name.
