Kirkham & Wesham F.C.

Kirkham & Wesham F.C. is a football club based in Kirkham in Lancashire. It was formed by the amalgamation of Kirkham Town FC and Wesham FC. By taking this name, the club was adopting the name of a club which was in existence in the early 1900's.
They are members of the Lancashire Football Association, and in 2006-07 their senior team play in the West Lancashire League Premier Division, which is at the 11th level of the English football league system. The club's colours are blue shirts and blue shorts. They produce a programme for each of their home games.
Kirkham & Wesham FC play their home games at the Birley Arms ground in Warton. This is a new ground which was officially opened on August 5th 2006. The ground has few facilities, but is currently being developed with the intention that it be acceptable to host games in the North West Counties League.
In recent seasons they have been a most successful club. In particular they have been West Lancashire League Premier Division Champions in six of the last seven seasons. Additionally as the nominated representatives of Lancashire FA, they have been winners of the Northern Counties Cup in both 2004-05 and 2005-06.
