Kirinyaga District

Kirinyaga District is an administrative district in the Central Province of Kenya. Its capital town is Kerugoya. The district has a population of 457,105 and an aree of 1,478 sq km [1].

The district has three local authorities: Kerugoya/Kutus municipality, Kirinyaga county council and Sagana town council.

The district is divided into four administrative divisions: Central (Kerugoya), Ndia (Sagana), Gichugu and Mwea.

The district has four constituencies: Mwea, Gichugu, Ndia and Kerugoya/Kutus.
