Kiribathgoda Gnananada Thero

Venerable Kiribathgoda Gnananada Himi is the chief Buddhist monk in charge of Mahamevnawa. This is an organization of monasteries established for the sake of spiritual development of human beings through the teachings of the Sakyamuni Buddha. It has 18 more monastries for meditation throughout Sri Lanka, in rural and urban areas. Venerable Kiribathgoda Gnananada Himi was born into a Roman Catholic family and learnt Buddhism in India and later became a Buddhist monk. He now teaches Buddhism to the local and international community.
