The Kintetsu Nara Line (近鉄奈良線, -sen) is a railway line of the Kintetsu Corporation connecting Higashiosaka, Ikoma, and Nara, Japan. In 1970, the Namba Line was opened, and the actual starting station of the Nara Line moved to Kintetsu Namba Station.

[edit] Operation

Trains go direct to the Namba Line, and lead to Kintetsu Namba Station. Between Yamato-Saidaiji and Kintetsu Nara, trains of the Kyoto Line also run.

Express trains, Rapid Express trains, and Limited Express trains run between Namba and Nara. Semi-Express trains run between Namba and Yamato-Saidaiji in the afternoon, and between Namba and Nara in the rush hour. Local trains run between Namba and Higashi-Hanazono, Namba and Higashi-Ikoma, or between Namba and Yamato-Saidaiji. Some local trains run between Namba and Nara.

On March 21, 2006, Higashi-Hanazono Station became one of the stops of the Semi-Express trains, and the Suburban Semi-Express trains (区間準急, Kukan-Junkyū) started to be operated on the Nara Line (Station stops: Nippombashi, Uehommachi, Tsuruhashi, Fuse, Kawachi-Kosaka, and every station between Higashi-Hanazono and Yamato-Saidaiji or Nara).
