Kingsway Shopping Centre
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Kingsway Shopping Centre is the principal under-cover shopping centre in the city of Newport, South Wales. It is a large building on several levels and includes a range of high street shops and privately-owned boutiques. It is also home to the city's museum, art gallery and central library. At its entrance is John Frost Square, a Germanic-style shopping square with a grand clock that 'falls apart' on the hour to reveal its insides.
As with the continued regeneration of Newport since it was awarded city status in 2002, the centre is currently undergoing a massive refurbishment and extension, in conjunction with the new Friars Walk mall. [1]
