Kingsbridge Road is an express station on the New York City Subway's IND Concourse Line. The station has one mezzanine above the platforms and another below it. The full-time entrance is at 196th Street on the north end, and has two street stairs and one stair to each platform. The part time entrance is at Kingsbridge Road on the south end, and has three stairs to the lower mezzanine with exits to street via two stairs to each side of the Concourse or Kingsbridge Road underpass. However, prior to a 1990s booth operation switch, the part time side was at the full time side and vice-versa. There are two now closed additional exits still visible on the south side of Kingsbridge Road. The tile band is Marine Blue, and vent chambers are also present. A strange white wall is present at both platform stairs to the Kingsbridge Road exit. It is not known why they were built.
