In the Spring of 2004, members of Nothingface (TVT Records) and Molly McGuire (Epic records) came together to form KINGDOM OF SNAKES. It was a band waiting to happen for 8 years, they just didn’t know it. In 1996 Nothingface and Molly Mcguire crossed path’s in a little club in Salt Lake City while on tour. The two bands, although musically very different, became good friends. “I remember seeing Molly Mcguire and thinking, this is the first band that I’ve seen in years that are really pushing the envelope and writing great songs” says Bill “I thought Blackmore and Gerken were phenomenal”. Blackmore recalls seeing Nothingface and thinking “they were incredibly intense onstage. Great songs and great playing”. The bands went on to spend the next few years on the road, doing tours like Lollapalooza and Ozzfest

When both bands broke up, Bill put together a list of guitarists and drummers that he wanted to recruit, with Blackmore and Gerken at the top of the list. After listening to the music, the guys flew out to L.A., and the rest is history..... The band recruited Gabe Cardinale on bass, and KINGDOM OF SNAKES was born. “From day one this band was about writing great songs, music that sticks in your head, that you have to sing along to”.

In Spring of 2004, the band went into Henson Studios to record a 5 song E.P. with producer Bill Kennedy (Nine Inch Nails, Nothingface). After finishing the E.P., the band began playing shows in the L.A. area and began recording new material. Comparisons to the Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age are the most frequent, which is fine with the band. “Those are two bands who I think constantly push the envelope and write great, catchy rock songs. That’s the same thing we’re doing” says Bill. “This is a band that really loves what we are doing, and it comes through in the music”.

KINGDOM OF SNAKES previous affilitions include: Nothingface, Molly McGuire, Maroon, Shiner, Gunfighter, Steve Burns, The Incredible Moses Leroy and Season to Risk.
