King Uszniewicz

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

King Uszniewicz was a pseudonym for the 1970s hard rock band Brownsville Station, who recorded a single under that name, under the pretense of King Uszniewicz being an unknown musician from the Midwestern United States who played in obscure dive bars. The single emulates, in a tongue in cheek manner, the 1950s nostalgia which was prevalent in the 1970s thanks to groups like Sha Na Na and Showaddywaddy, films like American Graffiti, and television shows like Happy Days.

Norton Records later put out an album of King Uszniewicz material, including the single and tracks that were unreleased at the time.
