[edit] Biography
[edit] Early life
King Lizzard was born and raised in Detroit, the city Rolling Stone magazine calls "the Liverpool of America, a gritty industrial city producing hard, loud rock since the 60's."
Born to a musical family, King was playing the ukulele by two-years of age, and the piano by five. His mother's side of the family were Polish/German Jews who converted to Catholicism during World War II. His father's side of the family were Latter-Day-Saint Mormons. He was raised by his maternal grandparents.
In 1973 he moved to California, where he went college on an acting scholarship and gained degrees and honors in Film and Theatre Production.
Weaving music, theatre and multimedia together, King has worked professionally in the film and music business for over thirty years. He has acted in major motion pictures, the live stage, and has performed before stadium and arena crowds.
[edit] Legacy
From 1979-1982 he was bass player and co-songwriter for the band, Legacy (signed by a major label). They opened for top acts nationwide but never achieved headline status.
The Band broke up and King concentrated on acting and film production, his first love.
[edit] Las Vegas
