King Fahd II Stadium (Arabic: ستاد الملك فهد الثاني) is a multi-use stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It is currently used mostly for football matches and it also has athletics facilities. The stadium was built in 1987 and holds 75,000. It also boasts having the largest stadium roof in the world. Was venue of matches of the FIFA World Youth Championship in 1989 including the final match.


The stadium's roof is the largest stadium cover in the world shading over 70 000 seats and covering a plan area of 47 000 squared meter. The 24 columns are arranged on a circle with a 247 meters diameter. The huge umbrella keeps the sun off the seats and concourse slabs, providing shade and comfort in the hot desert climate.

The exact location of the stadium is 24 47'18.8"N, 46 50' 21.1"E, which can be entered into a program such as Google Earth for viewing.
