King Acorn's Secret Service

King Acorn's Secret Service is an organization from the Archie Comics Sonic the Hedgehog storyline. They serve as professional counterparts to the Freedom Fighters, and the two are often at odds due to the competition between them.

[edit] Geoffrey St. John
In the Sonic the Hedgehog (Archie comic) continuity, Geoffery St. John is a skunk claiming to be a former member of the royal guard of King Acorn, first appearing in Sonic #20. (which leads into the Princess Sally mini-series, where he played a major role.)
As a child, St. John gained his sense of duty from his father, Ian St. John, who was killed by the overlanders, leading to Geoffrey's strong dislike of humans. St. John is very loyal to the kingdom of King Acorn and Princess Sally as well, whom he and Sonic often fought for affection from. However, many in the Knothole Village Freedom Fighters consider him arrogant and rude.
After reappearing shortly before Robotnik's death, St. John aided in the return of King Acorn and eventually re-established the King's Secret Service. It was with this team that he recovered Queen Alicia and Prince Elias, Sally's mother and brother respectively. His rivalry with Sonic has cooled and flared repeatedly, but the feud over Princess Sally ended when St. John married Hershey Cat. The feud over Sally is not the only thing that Sonic and Geoffrey disagree about, however, so their disagreements may continue in the future. Geoffery St. John and his team took a leave of absence after being infected with microscopic probes by the new Dr. Eggman.
[edit] Hershey the Cat
Hershey the Cat is a sidekick of Geoffrey St. John. She is thought to be nothing more than an amateur, but that theory is crushed in a story of her own, Hershey Solo, in Sonic Super Special #5. Hershey was originally a pawn in a scheme to kill Sally Acorn. Her then boyfriend, Drago Wolf, tricked her into wearing a Sonic the Hedgehog disguise. However, the mask contained eyepieces that caused the wearer to see Snively in place of anyone else. This led to Hershey cutting the rope Sally was hanging from, thinking that Snively was dangling from it. She was forgiven, and joined King Acorn's Secret Service at the behest of Geoffrey.
Hershey made several appearances over time, working together with Geoffrey in multiple instances. Among her more prominent assignments were locating Prince Elias Acorn. She and Geoffrey were also the first Mobians to encounter Sonic after his return from his year-long disappearance, or at least year long to the Mobians. Hershey and Geoffrey's respect for each other blossomed into love, and the two got married, putting an end to Geoffrey's rivalry with Sonic for Sally's hand. Unfortunately, Hershey was taken off active duty along with the rest of Geofferey's squad after being infected with nanobots injected into their bloodstreams.
Note: Hershey's name is likely a play on the Hershey chocolate industry, especially considering that her mother is named Cocoa.

Created by Dr. Robotnik, Heavy and Bomb eventually defected and joined the Secret Service. However, they were eventually reprogrammed into being evil, thus removing them from the organization.

A blue Chameleon and friend of Espio, Valdez was a member of the Secret Service. However, during a particularly dangerous mission, he was captured and Roboticized. He has either been destroyed or restored to normal thanks to the Bem.
