King's College, Aberdeen was founded on 10 February 1495 by Bishop William Elphinstone in Old Aberdeen, Scotland.
The union with Marischal College in 1860 resulted in the present University of Aberdeen.
In 1497, King's College boasted the first chair of medicine in the English-speaking world.
