Kinetic Daze is a Filipino Rock band formed in 2003 by four musicians hailing from the south of Metro Manila, Philippines. Its style leans towards the Alternative Rock / New Wave subgenre of Rock music.

==Band history==

Marlon Urdelas and Resty Concepcion came up with the idea of forming Kinetic Daze back in 2003. Coming from their respective underground grunge bands in the 90s, they decided to shift to the alternative rock genre to give way to ear-friendly rock music. At this stage, they invited Jerome Azarcon to play the bass and Daryl to do drums to complete the line-up. But the latter had to leave the band to pursue a career elsewhere. The band then tapped Ley Gomez around late 2005 to fill the vacated spot, and he has been their permanent drummer since then.

The music

It’s alternative, it’s rock!

“Sayang Lang”, their first single, is an upbeat love song, talking about a love taken-for granted and asking for second chances. This song has gained favorable feedback from Kinetic Daze’ gig goers and has since been the signature song of the band. Sayang Lang can now be heard over at NU 107.


One song after the other, their original songs captured the fancy of the 90’s alternative rock aficionados, gathering a humble fan base along the way. As Kinetic Daze grace every possible venue in town --acoustic bars (when it was still a hit), rock gigs at bars, big venues, radio guestings and live TV performances – they carefully claimed a spot in the Philippine music industry.


In March 2005, they guested in Jam 88.3’s Jam Sessions for an hour-long live studio performance. That same year they were also at the MTV studios (Fiestamundo.com) for the MTV Siesta live set featuring their song “She’s so Fine”. And recently, they hit the big stage when they were invited to be part of the 2005 Fete Dela Musique in El Pueblo, Ortigas. As to where they’re at right now, is the fruit of their talents, hard work and support from their loyal fans and friends.
