Kimbundu

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kimbundu is one of the most widely spoken pre-colonial languages in Central Africa. It is still spoken in northern Angola, Zimbabwe, and other countries - the earlier Mbundu territory.

Some Kimbundu words were influential to Romance languages like Portuguese, with words like bwe, baza, kuatu, kamba, arimo, mleke, xinga, bunda, etc.
