[edit] Character history
Kimber is a one-time model, pornographic actress, and pornography producer.
She first met Christian in the pilot episode, in which she introduced herself as a model. Kimber wasn't initially interested in Christian, until he revealed he was a plastic surgeon. After a wild sexual encounter, he told Kimber how she could up herself "from an 8 to a 10" with plastic surgery. After the procedure, however, she felt Christian had dumped her aside, and lashed out by vandalizing his luxurious sports car and boat (though he didn't know she was the culprit). Kimber had fallen madly in love with Christian, but his playboy instincts didn't allow him to settle down in Season One, despite many attempts, and a lot of work on Kimber's part.
A few months later, they reconnected when Christian realized he was missing out on the best sex of his life, but he later wanted to end things upon realizing she wasn't very bright. To do so, Christian made a deal with Dr. Merrill Bobolit to push Kimber into Merill's arms as a "trade" for Merill's Lamborghini. It worked until Merill confessed, and Kimber exacted her revenge by luring Christian to bed. There, she tied him up, threatened him with a knife, and left him there, taking the keys to his new car. She later became engaged to Merrill until he lost his practice.
Kimber struggled to make a living by being an actress, and developed a cocaine habit, which ruined her nasal septum. Christian repaired her septum for free, providing that she kept quiet at his custody deposition. She later became a hugely successful porn star, developing a widely successful sex doll modeled on her image, which led to a brief fling with Christian's partner, Sean McNamara, and then back into the arms of Christian.
In season three, Kimber engaged in a 3-way relationship with Kit McGraw and her boyfriend, Christian. This ended after Kit invited Quentin Costa to join the group in bed, and Quentin made a move on Christian. She and Christian finally got engaged, but she disappeared shortly before she was to walk down the aisle. A message was written on her mirror in the ante-chamber, which said "I just can't." Christian assumed Kimber couldn't go through with the marriage, but she was in fact kidnapped by The Carver, a serial rapist who preyed on local women, and who was holding her in an undisclosed location. The Carver forced her to write Christian a Dear John letter after cutting up her face.
Christian thought she was out of his life forever, until he received a grisly clue from The Carver — her breast implants. He called Detective Kit McGraw in to help find Kimber, and The Carver. Kit then tracked down Kimber, and revealed that the Carver had undone all of her 10 previous surgeries without anesthesia, in addition to his signature cheek slashes. He visited her and saw the extent of her disfigurement, and promised "to make her a 10 again." He re-did all of her previous surgeries simultaneously, and even suggested rescheduling their wedding, but she resisted. Christian believed Kimber was suffering from Stockholm syndrome, because she had sympathised with her captor; she believed the Carver's philosophy that beauty was "a curse on the world," and blamed Christian for what happened to her.
As of the Season 4 episode "Blu Mondae", Kimber has converted to Scientology, and is attempting to convert Matt McNamara after giving him an Emeter test. After converting him, she later convinces Matt to move out of his parents house into what she believes is a better environment for him. However she breaks their friendship off after he tries to have sex with her.
Later, Christian seduces her, only to tell her afterwards that he had sex with her because he needed to feel he "was the most important person in the world." Out of anger, Kimber then has sex with Matt. In the next episode she and Matt go to a consult with Christian and Sean to announce that they are married and having a baby, which Christian thinks may be his. During a surgery to remove Kimber's implants so she will be able to breast feed her baby, Christian takes DNA from her uterus and has it tested only to find out they he is indeed not the father afterall.
Matt surprised Kimber in their house with cameras and people Kimber has worked with to make her early pornography movies. Matt convinces her to make a rough sex scene at 4 months pregnant. Although Matt told her only him and her would see it, at the doctor's office, Kimber and Matt are informed that their video is no longer private.
Sean later gives both Matt and Kimber the money he got from selling his share of the practice for Matt's "Nest Egg" when Kimber gives birth. Matt and Sean have a talk and Matt admits that Christian was probably right that Kimber only married him in some sick twisted way to get back at him. Sean then tells Kimber how much Matt loves her and she says that she's trying. Season 4 for Matt and Kimber ends with the two of them holding each other in bed. This could show that there may be hope for the two of them.
