Kim Poirier (born February 6, 1980 in Drummondville, Quebec) is a Canadian TV and movie actress and television host.

She is currently host of HypaSpace on the Canadian SPACE channel, which specializes in science fiction. She also does 1-2 minute segments on Drive-In Classics every Saturday before the Horror Marathon since she joined HypaSpace in 2005. She co-hosted the 05 Spaceys (2005) and the 06 Spaceys (2006) with Jonathan Llyr and Natasha Eloi. She's also the host of new SPACE show Space Top 10 Countdown.

She appeared in several movies including Dawn of the Dead (2004), Decoys (2004), and American Psycho 2 (2002). As well, she was a regular cast member of Showcase Television's soap opera Paradise Falls, which aired mainly in Canada. She's also had guest star roles in the TV shows Undressed, Largo Winch, The Gavin Crawford Show, I Love Mummy, Puppets Who Kill, Doc, Straight Up, PSI Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal and Twice in a Lifetime. She's starred in the TV movies Pretend You Don't See Her (2002) and While I Was Gone (2004). She is also set to star in the sequel to Decoys in 2007.

She also appeared in the unaired pilot A Bachelor's Guide to Seduction in the Kitchen (2000) as Linda. It was shot for Arcadia Entertainment however it wasn't picked up. Apparently some European countries were interested in it but it was never aired or picked up.

Another project she appeared in was the film The Archer which she had a lead role in. She played Linda. However, the project was dropped during post-production after the director and producers kept fighting.

As a child growing up in Toronto, Ontario, she worked in modeling and TV commercials, until adulthood when she moved into acting on TV and movies.

She is the international leader of Sadhana at The Institute of Yoga Therapy. She also organized a workshop called The Yoga Theatre Lab, which combines the yogic technique with acting.

She has been trained by John Riven (Meisner Technique), Rae Ellen Bodie (Voice Work), Jazz Be Nimble (Jazz, Tap, Ballet (Competitive Dance)), Barbara Deutsch (Actor's Workshop), David Rottenberg (On Camera Acting - Group Classes), Bruce Clayton (On Camera Acting - Group Classes), Francois Grise (Voice Work), Elaine Overholt (Singing and Voice) and Valerie Gellar (On Air Radio and Television - Group Seminar).

Can do the following dialects - Fluent French (Canadian/European), Stoneland English, Cockney, Irish and Southern U.S.

Has a dog called Ellie who she enjoys spending time with and when she has free time she enjoys watching movies, writing, meditating and jogging.

In September 2006, she signed up with King Talent Inc.

In November 2006, director George Miller was so charmed by Kim Poirier during an interview on HypaSpace he got Warner Brother's to contact her producer at Space and asked her to write a blurb for a TV show discussing movies of the week and this time it was about 'Happy Feet'. She accepted the offer. Her official website was also redesigned and launched with a new link.
