Kim Bauer from the NXFM crew, is on the radio in the morning (from 6 am to 9am.) Her staion is NXFM which is broadcast primarily in the Newcastle and Hunter region of NSW Australia. It has been said that she is a very funny lady. Her show is on every weekday morning where she chats about whatever is on her mind along with her hosts Steve and Nollsie. Often people of the public call up and fuel these discussions with their own personal thoughts.

[edit] Personal life
Kim's personal life is often discussed on her program and it has been revealed that she is divorced with one child. There have been recent rumours that Kim and her broadcasting partner Steve are getting engaged. These claims, however, are entirely unstubstantiated, and unlikely as Steve is currently married and kim shall find her partner soon enough. Kim Bauer lives in Mayfield, a suburb in Newcastle NSW. When she was younger she lived in Sydney and was the female table-tennis junior champion, a sport she considered a career in before turning to broadcasting.
Kim injured her ankle whilst walking down some stairs in 2005, on the same night that she was scheduled to host a trivia night at New Lambton Heights Infants school. To much disappointment of those in attendance of the night she was then unable to host. However by all reports she has now fully recovered.
Kim's father passed away in October 2006, leading to her temporary abscence from the radio. During this time the staion held a competition called "Kim for a day" where Nollsie and Steve were accompanied by a different female listentener of the show each day, who would perform all of Kim's duties.

Steve, Kim and the "NX Crew", as they are commonly referred to, are renowned for their light-hearted views on topics concerning politics, entertainment and Newcastle life. In late 2005, Steve and Kim exclaimed that the expression "that'll do" was often used by Novocastrians. This inspired the display of "That'll Do!" signs all over the city. Another famous crew promotion was the "Crew On Tour", where the NXFM breakfast show produced and broadcast their morning show live from several locations around the Hunter Region, including Bar Beach and various shopping centres. Each morning "the crew" discuss a few different topics, these discussions often broken up by humorous anecdotes. For example, on the show broadcast on the 26th October 2006, the crew were discussing strawberries, and the recent scientific discovery that eating strawberries improves your memory. Steve humorously stated he was "banning strawberries from my house", then later explained this was because there were many moments in his life he would prefer to forget. This led to a discussion of the moments that Steve, Kim, Nollsie and the listeners would like to forget, many of these comedic. The NX crew also have low key interviews with celebrities, some of the regulars including Mike Goldman, Tom Gleisner and Australian Idol judge Mark Holden.
Some of the criticisms the show faces are that it is unintelligent and low brow, however many hold the view that this style is suited to the early hours of the morning. Kim and the rest of her crew are currently on a break from the radio over the summer. Their show has been taken over by Carlee and Grover until Steve and Kim return early 2007.

Kim is the only woman on the show, which means she provides an often contrary feminine view to that of Steve or Nollsie. She is also the butt of many jokes and playful ridicule from her hosts, particularly Steve, but due to her cheerful and relaxed nature she does not take these comments to heart.

On the show on the 16th November Steve revealed to Kim that a Wikipedia page about her existed. Steve and Kim expressed shock at the news there are rumours about their engagement. Steve did not seem overall impressed with this page, possibly because he is jealous as he doesn't have one.

Favourite television shows- Grey's Anatomy, Lost, Desperate Housewives, 24 and ER. Favourite drink- Champagne and cocktails. Favourite music- Rock. Worst habit- Not vaccuming under the furniture as often as she should. Best habit- Always putting the shopping away as soon as she gets home. Hates- Backstabbers and liars. Favourite meal- Anything with chilli. Admires- All volunteer workers especially firefighters and SES workers. Weekend activities- Going to the movies and her son's soccer matches.
Kim is also a keen traveller, having backpacked in her youth and claims if she wasn't in radio she would be travelling the world. One celebrity she would like to meet is George Clooney, which may be due to the fact ER is a favourite television program of hers. However she credits this fact to his good looks and intelligence.
