Killay
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Killay is the name of a village and community in Swansea, south Wales. The village of Killay is located mainly in this ward, set high above sea level, about 3.5 miles west of Swansea city centre.
The north of the area is mainly residential and is deemed a relatively affluent area for Swansea. The south of the area consists of an unpopulated Common, which is used for grazing and forms part of Gower Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Departing the village to the east is Gower road. The stretch of this road in Killay is dominated by a number of large executive mansions, built in individual styles on large plots of land. This stretch is known locally as Swansea's Millionaires' Row.
