Killary Harbour is Ireland's only "fjord". It is disputed that it was actually formed by glaciers. It forms the border between parts of counties Galway and Mayo. It's 16 kilometers long and in the center it's over 45 meters deep.

On its Northern shore lies the mountain of Mweelrea, 817 meters high. Musselrafts can be seen in the water.
