Kihoku, Mie

Kihoku(紀北町; -cho) is the town in Kitamuro District, Mie, Japan. The town was founded on October 11, 2005 as the merging towns of Miyama and Kiinagashima.
As of October 1, 2004, the town has an estimated population of 20,289 and density of 78.94 persons per km². The total area is 257.01 km². And Miyama is surround by river and sea, mountain. they have a beautiful nature. Well-known product of Miyama is saury sushi because Miyama can fishes a lot of sauris. And Miyama also has World Heritage Site. It is "KUMANO old street" that lays so long stone mat along mountain street in Kii peninsula.
