Kieran McGeeney "Geezer" is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays midfield and half back for the Armagh Senior football team and holds legendary status within GAA as one of the best half backs of the modern game. McGeeney is the secretary for the Gaelic Players Association, an association that was co-founded by his Na Fianna team-mate Dessie Farrell.

He captained Armagh to there first and only All-Ireland victory in 2002 and won three All-Stars and Ulster championship medals. He also received the 2002 Texaco Footballer of the Year award. McGeeney plays his club football for Na Fianna on the northside of Dublin and has represented Ireland on a number of occasions in the annual International Rules series against Australia. McGeeney is the captain for Ireland in the 2006 compromise rules Irish team to face Australia in the first test at Pearse Stadium and has currently made ten appearences for his country making his debut back in 1998. McGeeney's recent game in the Dublin championship against St Vincents was moved to accommodate the fixture allowing McGeeney to play both fixtures.[1][2] Na Fianna went on to be defeated by St Vincents.
